Iztapalapa Cable Car Tour
Do you want to take a special trip over the biggest part of Mexico City? Most tourists usually visit the same places, but they miss out on experiencing how the locals live.
It’s an area that shows what life is like for millions of Mexicans, which you might not have heard about otherwise.
Iztapalapa is packed with culture, tasty street food, traditions, and history that goes all the way back to the Aztecs! Today, it’s a lively place that’s working to change its image through art, leaving behind the idea that it’s only for people with low incomes.
What will we do on this trip?
A. We’ll start our adventure in Downtown, where we’ll take the subway to the outskirts of the city. While we do that, we’ll talk about the challenges of getting around in the biggest city in North America!
B. Then, we’ll visit a local museum to learn about Iztapalapa’s history and its role as the home to the world’s largest open community theater.
C. Next, we’ll get to do something really cool: we’ll ride the world’s largest cable car, which will give us an incredible view of street art and the vast valley.
D. Along the way, we’ll stop by a local market to try the best tacos you’ve ever had, and we’ll even check out an airplane that’s been turned into a cultural spot.
E. Finally, we’ll return to Downtown using the subway and finish our trip at a local bar. There, we’ll toast with a drink that goes back to the time of the Aztecs: the beverage of the gods.
This experience is one of a kind.
